Back in the daaaaay, Xbox used to have the most magnificent summer sales. Those were the days, as the Xbox 360 console would slash numerous games to more affordable giblets, provided that you were able to download all several gigglebytes of a title. These days, I scoff at those download requirements and the fact that I had to make use of a 3G dongle attached to my laptop. SCOFF TO THE MAX.

Times change however, and so do discounts. This year, the Xbox Ultimate Games Sale hits your screen starting tomorrow on both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Xbox spokesperson Major Nelson has posted a list of what will be up for grabs, and the sale is what scientists call “bloody massive”. Here’s a few highlights posted below, with the sale discount percentage for Gold members listed second. Non-gold members, you’ll be getting much less of a slash, a description usually reserved for Guns ‘N Roses circa their 1994 break-up.

  • Assassin’s Creed Syndicate – 40% / 50%
  • Borderlands: The Handsome Collection – 50% / 60%
  • Call of Duty: Black Ops III – 30% / 40%
  • Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition – 40% / 50%
  • Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition – 40% / 50%
  • DOOM – 20% / 30%
  • Dragon Ball Xenoverse – 40% / 50%
  • Far Cry 4 – 50% / 60%
  • Gears of War Ultimate Edition Deluxe Version – 40% / 50%
  • Just Cause 3 – 50% / 60%
  • Metro Redux Bundle – 65% / 75%
  • Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor – Game of the Year Edition – 40% / 50%
  • WWE 2K16 – 40% / 50%

There’s a lot, lot more than just my dodgy recommendations above and plenty of Xbox 360 titles as well for anyone rocking a legacy console. The Ultimate Games Sale sale runs through until July 11.
