Tony Hawks Skateboard Peripheral

I have to say that I am not convinced that it is a good idea to sell a game that needs a custom peripheral to play unless that peripheral is being bundled with the game for free.

However even if they bundled the Tony Hawks board with the game I still don’t think it’s going to be worth the money, take a look at the above video and tell me that the journalist enjoys playing the game, and even if he didn’t enjoy the game you tell me that he had a clue how to pull of that blunt move or awesomedy duper olley air.

EA swooped in and stole the skateboarding thunder straight out from under Tony and in a vain attempt to win back some market share they have thrown gimmicks at the game. This won’t work and it’s seriously time for them to sit back and take a long hard look at the current climate.

They need to vastly improve their graphics, gameplay and fun factor if they have any hope of overhauling Skate before they are relegated to has beens.

The first time someone tries to actually ollie that board, and it snaps clean in two, is they day they’ll realise they made a mistake …. but by then it’ll be too late

OMG the pessimism LOL The journalist looked 40+ years old with no balance skillz at all. I love the idea and cant wait to see it!

as a fan of gaming, i would LIKE to see this succeed. Skate really stole my heart when it re-invented skateboarding games. I applaud tony hawk (activision) for taking a step back and trying something new. After all, that’s what SKATE did, and it payed off. The graphics do look a LITTLE arcade-ie for my tastes, but we’ll see. I hope it turns out great.
