Trials of the Poro teases new LoL Champion

It’s that time again – time for LoL to show off a new champion for those who are always hungry for new ways to dominate. I am seriously enjoying Riot’s videos lately, and this one is far too adorable.

For the non-video viewers among you, it’s an adorable little animated short showing off a Poro, trying to dodge arrows in a quest for a snack. Just as we’re sure he’s going to die from the volley of arrows, a shadow covers and protects him. Then, we get to see the big brauny saviour, rumoured to be called Braum who tells the little creature not to worry, next time the Poro can have his back.

Beyond being a cute teaser (that racked up 4.5 million views over the Easter Weekend), it shows off what we can expect from the new champion. With a massive shield like that, and those enormous pectorals, we can assume he’ll be a tank/bruiser. Right? Then again, he could just be an amazingly buff and manly (note the epic moustache) support champion. Either way, it’s a cool video and I’m keen to see what they have to show off with Braum.

It has really been far too long since I jumped into League of Legends. There are so many champions now – I was overwhelmed when I started all those years ago, but now it must be really daunting for new players to even try and give the various champions a try. I should really get back into the MOBA scene and try out some of the new champions… but I’d probably just play as Ms Fortune anyway. Or Tristana. Have you guys made headway in trying out all the champions, or do you still just stick with your favourites?
