VG247 Confirms what we knew already

It’s odd what news stories make it big on the news aggregators..

On my wander through this morning I saw that one of the top 3 stories on N4G was that Microsoft had confirmed to VG247 that they will not be having a press conference at Leipzig this year and have nothing new to announce.

But we posted this 2 weeks ago already.

Anyway, I wonder why Microsoft has decided to snub Leipzig? It’s not like they don’t need the help in winning the war in Europe and with Leipzig easily being the biggest GC in Europe you would think they would be there will all the bells and whistles.

This would be a good chance for Sony to get in some marketing shots about Microsoft failing Europe though… Unless they also ignore Leipzig which would mean Leipzig won’t become the new E3…

Sony have already stated that they consider Leipzig to be more important that E3 and there will be a couple of big-ish announcements (that’s always a lottery though, cough*pac-man*cough).

They have confirmed that they will show Heavy Rain and their full line up can be found here:

Yeah, i don’t agree with that at all. I thought what they showed at E3 was pretty good. The only reason people think they had a bad E3 was because of the FF MS announcement.

I personally couldn’t care less about FF so i was happy with the whole thing. Take away that 1 announcement and what exactly did MS give us? And anyway, PS3 owners are still going to be playing FF it’s not like it went exclusive or anything.

Based on a preview I read in an obscure Polish Web site, which I picked up from a N4G story, I already know that Heavy Rain is going to be rubbish.

Save your money for Too Human instead.
