What is Microsoft going to reveal at PAX?

PAX

So if you were checking out any other sites yesterday (you weren’t were you?), you would have seen that at the upcoming Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) Microsoft has reserved two slots which are still titled TBA.

This is at the end of both Saturday and Sunday after a full day showing Gears 2, the New Xbox experience, Popfly, Halo wars and Project Origin.

So what is going to be shown at this time?

My guess is that they are keeping this available just incase Sony or Nintendo announce something big. If nothing big is announced this will then most probably be taken by some decent but known title like Viva Pinata TiP.

However if Sony or Nintendo make a decent announcement then we can possibly expect to see one of the following

  1. Motion Controller
  2. Halo 4
  3. Free Live
  4. Alan Wake
  5. Duke Nukem Forever
  6. … Any ideas?

Possibly the big announcement would be the price cut we all know is coming?

Okay…really…if they announce Duke Nukem Forever, Microsoft deserves a massive finger. I don’t get it! Am I the only person who watched that awful trailer? Am I the only person who has not fallen prey to clouded nostalgia?

What I do think Microsoft need is a new IP. Anything to accompany Gears in the foregone-conclusion triple A rankings…
