So even though the latest NPD data has the PS3 as the least popular consoles it seems like it is quite a bit more popular to the tech savvy online shoppers.
According to the latest sales data coming out of Amazon.com the Wii is the top selling console followed by the PS3 and then the Xbox 360.
In comparison to all their other products the Wii comes in at number 3, the PS3 at 18 and the XBox 360 at 23….
Is anything going to stop the Wii this year?

I cannot see why people would opt for the PS3 aside from the fact that it happens to be backwards compatible with PS2 games. It might not be a case of quality based decision making. It may well simply be a case of folks buying carefuly as to not put those expensive PS2 games to waste…
Something I doubt Microsoft factored in…

Unfortunately only the 60Gb PS3 is backawards compatible, so those people buying the cheaper 40Gb version are just out of luck
