WaW Map Pack breaks records

The Call of Duty World at War Map Pack 1 was released last week and according to all reports it is doing really well indeed.

Since it’s release it has been download over a million time which at 800 points a download is a fantastic easter bonus for Treyarch this year of around $10 000 000. Which is a little more than I suspect it cost to develop.

And not only is it being downloaded by everyone but also played by everyone, since it’s release it has been played in over 150 000 000 multiplayer sessions on Xbox Live alone.

There have been no figures released for the PS3 version but I expect it is doing just as well in America on that platform and hopefully one day they will release it to the second half of the planet.. and maybe even allow South Africa to download it on the 360 as well.

This lack of live in SA, lack of content.. I’ve come to accept the fact than MS were just lying to us to sell consoled. As it is, I’ve started selling my games, will revert back to PC, and maybe even get a PS3. I will NOT support microsoft’s console any more.
