Xbox 360 gamers loves Bulletstorm

I’m not sure if I’m surprised or disappointed that Bulletstorm has only now passed the 1 million sold mark. Bulletstorm is probably the most childish, ridiculous FPS of this generation and yet I utterly loved it.

It’s so stupidly over the top that you can’t help but either be entirely put off or incapable of putting it down when you get going.

And now with the announcement of a million units being sold I can least sit back in the knowledge that at least 999 999 other people have experienced that some feeling.

So Bulletstorm was released on PS3 and Xbox 360 but the sales by no means reflect a 50/50 sale rate with the PS3 version only selling just over 200k units while the Xbox 360 version was closer to the 750k mark.

This can easily be put down to the fact that the Gears of War 3 multiplayer beta was accessible through the Xbox version. Which to be honest is the reason I ignored my queue of unplayed titles and went out to buy a Epic Edition as soon as I could.

But much the same as my experience with the original Crackdown I found myself enjoying Bulletstorm more than the Gears of War 3 beta.

Hopefully the next Bulletstorm title isn’t as riddled with fail as Crackdown 2 was.
