Xbox 360 Price Cut coming soon

Xbox 360 Price Cut  My Dutch is non existent but I can read numbers in any language. Apparently on the 14th of March (Thursday) there is going to be a price cut across all the 360 ranges, dropping the Arcade version down from 278 Euros to 199… That’s quite a huge cut.

If our price cut followed directly it would mean a price drop of R1000 for the Arcade, which would then mean a R1699 price tag… That would catapult it into the mass market now wouldn’t it…

However with our currency dropping through the floor I highly doubt that we will see such a price drop. 199 Euros is now about R2500 anyway. Will we see a price drop at all then?

You know converting never works 😉

If the Arcade was R2700 to €280, just playing the ‘0’s we could hope for a drop to around R2000. Although with the Rand playing silly bananas I’m expecting it to drop to around R2200-2300. Remember there is definitely fat in the local prices, we never got the first cut.

But it would also explain those special ar incredible connection . . . 😉

Well in my opinion MS SA doesn’t need to do much except keep their price where it is, since the PS3 just sky rocketed again, there’s no pressure for MS to lower their price anyways…

I reckon they’d cancel each other out in any case…

Any price drop we would have received will be negated by the rand/doller price.

@doobi- Yeah I see those web specials at Incredible.co.za. Maybe they already got their price cut??? R1000 Price drop on a Pro is really serious stuff.

Don’t brush this off easily guys 😉

The rand’s gone down 20%, the arcade price has dropped 30%. Adding in the lack of a first drop, I think MS SA can very well do something. AND NOT MORE BUNDLES! 😉

There are some other issues to be raised if this does get implemented. Like do you now get a Pro if your Arcade RROD’s? I mean look at those prices at Incredible Connection and thats without a price cut. That does show that we could already have had a price cut or either they got their stock and price cut early?

    A conspiracy I tell you! 😀
