Over at Teamxbox.com César A. Berardini has written an article arguing for why online multiplayer should be free on Xbox Live! and that the Gold members should get other benefits.
Like Server based multiplayer, Clan and party system, dedicated download servers, loyalty points and no adverts.
Whilst I agree with most of what he says it would worry me if the online multiplayer became server based instead of peer to peer as us poor slobs down in Africa would then suffer quite badly with our packets having to travel all the way to London and back no matter which game we played.
I understand the host always gets an advantage but I would rather have that than unplayable laggy games…
