Feel the burn...and love

The local game scene may not be home to the kind of development that the rest of the world is accustomed to, but there’s still a decent scene brewing around here for some addictive games. Take Broforce for instance. It’s the bastard love child of Contra and an explosion from the 1980s, and it’s still shaping up rather nicely.

The idea behind Broforce is simple: Go blow some sh*t up. That’s it. Free Lives is busy chugging away at getting the game finished, and if you’re keen to give it a bash, then click here and don a bandana of infinite ammo for the brototype.

Broforce has updated itself further since I last had a look at it, and it looks like it’s moving beyond just a simple run and gunner with destructible environments. Not that there’s anything wrong with that concept to begin with.

So give the newest demo a whirl, support some locals and give ‘em some extra love on Steam Greenlight if you can. Because at least these local lads are on track to finish their game.

Good point. Steam now has this Early Access thing. Want me to pay money while new features are being added to certain games. No. Not going to happen.

    This looks awesome ! … it’s like a gaming re-genesis! … a do-over if you will.

Next will be games in the style of Wolfenstein and Doom, then “3D” a la Duke Nukem 3D …etc. etc. … maybe this time we can skip Call of Doody and get more Unreal and Quake ?? 🙂
