Tales From The Borderlands season finale will be out next week – episode 1 is now free

Yay

The one reason I steer away from Telltale titles lately is simply for the reason that it takes them quite some time to release an entire season of whatever franchise they are working on, and I am not as patient as I used to be. I want to experience an entire gaming narrative in the space of a few short days or a week or two, and not over whole months. Take Tales from the Borderlands for example. It’s a game I am absolutely dying to play, but it’s taken Telltale nearly a whole year to bring the Pandora story to its conclusion.

Finally though, fans can look forward to rounding the season off. Episode 5 will be out next week! Here’s a sneak peek, which you should obviously avoid if you’re not a fan of spoilers (via RockPaperShotgun):

Tales from the Borderlands – Episode One: ‘Zer0 Sum’ is now FREE on consoles and mobile. Also get a sneak peek at the Season Finale, ‘The Vault of the Traveler’ before it lands on October 20th on PC/Mac, PS4 and PS3; October 21st on Xbox One and Xbox 360, and then October 22nd for iOS and Android-based devices.

One neat little nugget of awesome from Telltale is the fact that the first episode of the game, ‘Zer0 Sum’, is now entirely free. If you haven’t considered buying a season pass for the simple reason that you’re not sure if Tales from the Borderlands is worth your money, this is the perfect way to get a feel for it.  Oddly enough, this offer doesn’t seem to extend to PC/Mac. For everything else though (console and mobile), there is a free download of the episode waiting to be grabbed.

I’m so happy that the concluding chapter of this game will be out soon! I grabbed a season pass myself on a Steam sale a while back, and I’ve played the first episode. I really enjoyed it, but made the decision to wait for all of them to be available before I dive back in. Now, I finally can.

To play or not to play. That is the question.

Every time I download a mobile game I’m kept entertained for about half a day then I get bored. I think it’s got to do with the input style. It just doesn’t feel as if I’m controlling anything. At least with a controller or KB/Mouse setup it feels like I’m actually doing something.

Mobile just feels like I’m navigating fancy menus.

O well, I was also hyped for episode 1. Guess I will just have to fork out the $20 for Life is Strange since everyone is raving about it 😛

TWD is good, but it’s more an interactive story than a game-game. I played episode 4 of season 2 last night when the old internets was down – one more to go.

I’m gonna be the troll here and say I.. I dont hate the game per say but rather the developers after what they did to the Aliens franchise. And rather not support a company that does this kind of practices.

They outsourced the game to a company that totally raped the game. It was the first time in history where the demo actually looked and played better then what the actual end product did.

Rumors have it they took the money from Sega, spent a 3rd of it on the outsourced game and the rest went to the development on Borderlands 2
