Suckers People who bought the 3DS within its first 5 months of release were likely bitterly disappointed with the recently announced 3DS price cuts. Don’t worry! Nintendo’s gonna make good with you – and they’re doing so by throwing some of the shiniest gems from their back catalogue – and one of the very best remakes of one of the very best games ever made has been added to that list.
The stupidly named, but fantastic Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros 3 is an excellent remake of the best game on the NES, with shiny graphics and Charles Martinet’s iconic Mario voice added in. It joins the equally fantastic Kirby & the Amazing Mirror as new additions to the Ambassador program. This brings the total number of announced GBA games to 7; Yoshi’s Island: Super Mario Advance 3, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Metroid Fusion, WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgames, and Mario vs. Donkey Kong being the other five. There’ll be three more GBA games coming to your 3DS by year’s end – which 3 would you want? I’m definitely rooting for Capcom’s take on Legend of Zelda, The Minish Cap, and Advance Wars or Fire Emblem.
The NES game announced so far are; Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong Jr., Balloon Fight, Ice Climber, and The Legend of Zelda. Which five NES games would you like to see round out the offer? I’m impressed (a little giddy, even) with the titles on offer, and feel more than compensated. If you’re a 3DS owner, do you feel this gesture’s enough?
