As you heard last week the great and mighty Matthew Figuera won the intern battle to the death, but what you didn’t know was that the battle was just a smoke screen for secret back room deals and corporate espionage.
Yes while everyone was focussing on the blood and guts of the intern battle we were secretly chatting to an experienced gaming journalist in the country and organising for him to join our illustrious, if not rather homely, editorial team.
And it is now with much excitement we can announce that the latest lamb to the slaughter that is Lazygamer.net is none other than Alessandro Barbosa who has been cutting his teeth at egmr.net for the past 3 years.
We’ve chatted with Alessandro at press events and meet ups over the last few years and we have all agreed that the guy is far too nice and innocent to continue life so we are going to pollute his brain, much to the dismay of @iam_devon.
Not only does Sandy – that’s his real name – bring some great writing skills and experience to the team but he is also one of those horrible social people like Zoe so Geoff and I can retreat further into our caves.
He also appears to care about his personal experience which again means Geoff, Darryn and I can save money on toiletries that never seemed to make much sense to me.
All in all it was a no brainer so give the kid a wave hello and welcome him into your loving embrace.
