In a film anchored by Star Lord’s taste in music and Groot’s…grootiness, Gamora is a fierce blade with a surprising warmth to her character. Moreso even in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, where she shines yet again. Her official impossibly realistic action figure from Hot Toys doesn’t look too bad either.
What would be a better show of devotion and love for one of your favourite movies than an actual copy of the film's official script in your possession.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is still a great film. It has heart, it has charm and most importantly, it had Michael Rooker’s Yondu. With a smile that could crack a mirror warehouse and a DLC pre-order for a weapon that bordered on cheat-code level, Yondu is the real heart and soul of the Guardians sequel. And also a sixth-scale charmer thanks to Hot Toys.
One day, I’ll have a date (A REAL ONE DAMMIT) and I’ll be all like “Yeah I make six figures a year” and she’ll be so impressed until she realises that I mean action figures. No regrets. I am expecting a tinge of buyer’s remorse later in the year though, because Hot Toys is at the San Diego Comic Con and they’ve got plenty of prototypes on show again.
