In 2017, South African PlayStation users got slapped with a hefty PlayStation Plus increase. It brought the price of the annual subscription up to R899 from R749, the quarterly price up to R349 from R219, and the monthly price to R109 from R99. Now there are some big changes coming, lowering the price of quarterly and annual subscriptions, but – for some reason – increasing the cost of the monthly one.
I’ve stopped really caring about the free games doled out by Xbox and PlayStation every month as part of their digital subscriptions. They’re nice to have; It’s always lovely getting something extra to play on top of something you’re paying for anyway. Later today, Sony will reveal the games that’ll be available as part of the PlayStation Plus Instant Games …
The last few months for PlayStation Plus have been pretty good! Just this month, subscribers have been gifted the always enjoyable Borderlands Handsome Collection, and the delightfully good retro-tastic Sonic Mania Plus. The good times can’t last forever though. July’s games are rubbish.
The free games included with each console’s online subscriptions have been middling of late, but I must admit that June’s Instant Game Collection for PlayStation 4 owners is pretty sweet. The only problem? I already own both. Sucks to be me. The games that PlayStation 4 owners who subscribe to PlayStation Plus will be able to download next month are Borderlands: The Handsome Collection, and Sonic Mania, both of which are excellent.
Later this month, PlayStation Plus subscribers will get access to two PS4 games as part of the service: Overcooked and What Remains of Edith Finch.
This month, PlayStation Plus is a bit of a mixed bag. There’s only two games to grab, two titles that cater towards a more masochistic market: The Surge and Conan Exiles.
It’s the end of the month, which means that it’s time to learn which games are coming to each respective digital storefront as part of their monthly subscriptions in the next month. Hooray!
Customers expect a fast, high quality customer service experience, and if you let them …
A spooky European village. Properly scary castle mania. Vampires. Werewolves! The only thing more frightening, is a glimpse at your empty bank account when it comes to deciding whether or not you can grab Resident Evil Village this month. Capcom's successor to its long-running survival-horror franchise is finally out, and if you've read our review then you know the game is a winner on multiple levels.
