Alienware

If you know anything about our local eSports scene, then you know that Bravado is one of the biggest gaming organisations we have. They have top teams across various games including Dota 2, Battlefield 3 and 4, Call of Duty Ghosts, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive… you get the picture – they take their gaming very seriously. They have teamed up with Alienware to put together an event showcasing hardware this Saturday. Are you based in Gauteng and interested? Find details after the jump.

Here’s a snippet from the official page:

Get down to DionWired Woodmead on Saturday 04 October between 11:00 and 15:00 for an Alienware boot camp where Bravado, SA’s No1 Multi Gaming Organisation will demonstrate how Alienware’s latest arsenal of powerful gaming rigs can give you the edge you need to game victorious.

The action includes product demonstrations, the opportunity to test your skills against Bravado, giveaways and lucky draws.

Personally, I wouldn’t want to go up against any of their members because I would just be destroyed. To make up for what may be a ton of bitter losses, there will be some neat prizes up for grabs including the following:

  • 1 x Alienware X51 Gaming Rig (valued at R19 000)
  • 3 x Alienware Accessory Hampers  (valued at R3600)

To enter, you simply have to print out and fill in the following entry form. You then need to drop it into the entry box at the Alienware stand at the store.

I won’t be attending unfortunately, as I will be training for the 94.7 Cycle Challenge. Coincidentally enough (if it starts at the same place this year), the race kicks off on the main road just in front of the DionWired where the event will be held. I guess I should head out that way just to make sure I really know the route.

  1. Why are you selling yourself short Matty? I think you should give it a go, and record it.

    I once entered a ut2003 tournament and won third prize : a t-shirt and a 256mb flash!
I could’ve won the 2nd prize if not for that damned maze map – I hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it:

Man so tempted, I need a new rig so bad.

I never win these things though and it means actually needing to leave my house O_O
