Michael Bay whines about Microsoft

So Michael Bay doesn’t like the way Microsoft is doing business…. In his own direct words…

What you don’t understand is corporate politics. Microsoft wants both formats to fail so they can be heroes and make the world move to digital downloads. That is the dirty secret no one is talking about. That is why Microsoft is handing out $100 million dollar checks to studios just embrace the HD DVD and not the leading, and superior Blu Ray. They want confusion in the market until they perfect the digital downloads. Time will tell and you will see the truth.

You would think Michael has a stake in Blu-Ray with the way he is going on here, it is also obvious that he doesn’t read much news on the subject since this Microsoft conspiracy has been going around for quite a while…

I normally wouldn’t post about this but one of the comments on the source site was just classic.

Microsoft is an evil company and should burn in hell!!!

You think some people take this a little too seriously ;)… Anyway I would honestly prefer digital downloads but we all know our internet cannot handle that yet.

rofl, I think you may very well be right, but on ~100000 units for either format, it’s barely a weeks fuel for his Ferrari 😉

Someone put more tinfoil in his hat. MS has already answered the accusations.

I think digital downloads is the way forward. It is a cheaper and more effective to supply to your clients. It sucks for us here in good old Telkom land, but hey, as a market we are not big enough to make a claim to anything.

Well, Neotel is almost good to go as is Telkom IPTV and then there’s the new Multichoice web TV thing. Considering 30Gb local only is about R100(?) I don’t think digital downloads could be that problematic.
