Over the last couple of years, Marvel Comics have had a number of reboots. Not proper reboots that reset their continuity entirely ala in the same manner that their distinguished competition has carried out over the years, but an endless barrage of new number one issues that have left fans and retailers seething at the lack of cohesive storytelling within that universe.
What started out on a promising high note with Marvel Now! several years ago, quickly became too damn much after the reset key was hit with the force of a Stark Technologies jackhammer. This time however, Marvel’s latest reboot feels more promising than ever. Called Fresh Start, the initiative isn’t just another excuse to roll out new issues and shake up creative teams.
It’s a return of heroes, iconic characters who’ve spent several years in a wilderness of uncertainty as their identities were taken up by a new generation of do-gooders and torchbearers. Here’s a look then, at every comic announced so far in Fresh Start, their creative teams and their official synopses when Marvel’s huge new event kicks off in May.
