Win a 3D Blu-Ray hamper with Nu Metro!

Some people don’t like 3D movies. Some do. But when a film makes proper use of that extra dimension and really delivers on the visuals, it’s hard to not be impressed. Of course, most people prefer to watch their movies in their own home cinema, but there aren’t exactly that many 3D films on offer for the tech-savvy.

Good thing that Nu Metro is bringing in some more 3D into the country, and they’re celebrating this by giving away some great prizes!

Thanks to the awesome folks over at Nu Metro, we’ve got two 3D Blu-Ray hampers consisting of the following titles;

  • Transformers: Dark of the moon
  • Men in black 3
  • Wrath of the Titans
  • Final destination 5
  • Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
  • The Green Lantern

To enter, just leave a comment below. You’ve got until Friday, high noon, and we’ll draw the two winners shortly afterwards. As for anyone else looking to add some 3D love to their Blu-Ray collection, here’s a look at what other films Nu Metro is bringing in soon;

  • Puss in Boots: A story about the events leading up to the sword fighting cat’s meeting with Shrek and his friends.
  • The Smurfs: When the evil wizard Gargamel chases the tiny blue Smurfs out of their village, they tumble from their magical world into New York City.
  • Open Season 3: Boog’s friends rally to bring him home from a Russian traveling circus.
  • DR Seuss’s The Lorax: A 12-year-old boy searches for the one thing that will enable him to win the affection of the girl of his dreams. To find it he must discover the story of the Lorax, the grumpy yet charming creature who fights to protect his world.
  • Coraline: An adventurous girl finds another world that is a strangely idealized version of her frustrating home, but it has sinister secrets.
  • Dolphin Tale: A story centered on the friendship between a boy and a dolphin whose tail was lost in a crab trap.

Please note, this competition is only open to people with a valid South African address.

  1. Avatar was the best 3D movie so far (visually). Pity it’s not on the list. A few other good ones though so I’ll throw my name into the hat.

      The general release 3D version is releasing either later this month or early next (previous release was part of a Panasonic exclusive bundle).

    Little known fact about the Green Lantern blu ray (both 3D and non 3D), they come with a code for a “Sinestro Corps” skin DLC for Batman in Batman:Arkham City…

      I did not know that. Now if only I could convince myself to actually waste more money on Green Lantern than I already did when I watched it in the cinema.

    MIB and Final Destination will be worthy additions – the latter was even shot in proper 3D and isn’t a post-con. But I still detest the Blu-Ray cases. What genius thought it would be smart to make a smaller box? It messes with my storage…

    I personally try and avoid 3D films (I have to wear spectacles since I don’t like contacts, and have to wear the 3D glasses over my specs). That being said and done I’ll be watching Dredd in 3D. So ja, I’ll enter.

      Two people will each receive a hamper containing all 6 of the Blu-Rays listed. Unfortunately, no blu-ray system itself. Maybe one day when we’re all rich and famous.
