Wibble to the wobble my timey-wimey homies. With everybody’s favourite Time Lord now less than two months away from making a small screen return, you can bet that there’ll be a few new fresh faces added to season 8 of Doctor Who. As well as the return of my personal favourite incredibly deadly but somehow also incredibly useless super-villains.
Yes sir, the Doc Who bastard children of the Borg and Stark technology will be back to harass the Doctor, as can be seen in the pictures above. Part man, more machine and all staccato voice modulators, the Cybermen got a beefy upgrade thanks to Neil Gaiman last year, paving the way for a new cyber-legend to be born.

The Cyber-bastards will be back near the tail-end of season 8, alongside Michelle Gomez who will play the role of the Gatekeeper of the Nethersphere. Speaking about the role, Michelle Gomez said: “Well of course Peter Capaldi is our next Doctor, which makes complete sense. I’m thrilled to join him. Well, you would be, wouldn’t you?”
Lead writer and executive producer, Steven Moffat, added: “I’ve known Michelle for years, and I’m thrilled to welcome her to ‘Doctor Who.’ She’s everything we need – brilliant, Scottish, and a tiny bit satanic.”
Yikes. The TARDIS lands back on our small screens on August 23.
