No more teasers. No more teasers for teasers, no more Facebook campaigns and no more trailerceptions. This is it. This is the full trailer for Iron Man 3, and believe us, it’s got a completely different tone within it’s two minutes of explosions, self-doubt and use of the force than the other films ever had. Let the Mandarin educate you as to what exactly we are talking about, after the jump.

Bit of a dark trailer, isn’t it? Granted, it’s not entirely representative of the final film, but I’ll be a bit sad if Stark loses some of his trademark humour and arrogance when he upgrades his suit.

But otherwise, this looks like a right blockbuster of a film so far. There’s several threads being weaved in and out of it, from the Extremis influences, through to the appearance of the Iron Patriot and the Mandarin emerging to become the greatest threat that Stark has ever known, as he starts from scratch when he rebuilds the Iron Man.

Let’s just hope that director Shane Black can merge them into one cohesive storyline. Iron Man 3 is out next year, May 3, and stars Robert Downey Jr, Ben Kingsley, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce and Rebecca Hall.

I…liked number 2. I must be the only one though.

        Number 2 was…well…a real number 2.

I share the above sentiment. Please be better than Number 2. And with Shane Black at the helm, that seems pretty likely

I’m somewhere in the middle. I don’t think it was a complete train wreck, but it was a step down from IM1 though.

I actually prefered number 2 to the first one, but I think thats probably because number 2 had more hidden nods to geeks.. I really don’t know. I watch both regularly, and thoroughly enjoy both each time.

@8e9038a5916223499daec9f4d0c0cdb4:disqus I’ve also watched and enjoyed 2 quite a few times. Most people’s problem with it was that it ended up being more of an Avengers trailer than an Iron Man movie.
