Unlike the super-prestigious The Movies awards that are held once a year when the staff spin a bottle and choose their favourite films, the Golden Globes…Oh wait, that event actually sounds better. Dammit, well moving on, the silver medal of awards shows and a good indicator of what will happen at the Oscars this year kicked off last night.
Hosts Amy Poehler and Tina Fey returned for another well received job at running the show, while various films and television series got the primetime nod. Here’s who won themselves a golden spherical object of accolades.
American Hustle and Gravity were the big winners of the night, while 12 Years A Slave finally got some recognition and scored the best drama award. Co-host Amy Poehler was also recognised for her work on the critically acclaimed Parks and Recreation, while cop comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine beat some stiff competition and the Big Bang Theory to earn an award. The fact that Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Andy Samberg won instead of the overrated Big Bang Theory and Jim Parsons again, makes me happy in my pants.

I’ve watched a few episodes of that, I find him the worst part of the show. The rest of the cast I quite like.

I enjoy the female cast of The Big Bang Theory far more than the predictable male characters. The show must end now.
