What happens when you combine three acting heavyweights and a relevant cause? You get an inconvenient environmental truth, as Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire and Tom Hardy are gearing up to produce an untitled film about the black market of animal poaching and trafficking.
A film idea from Tom Hardy, the actor wants to imagine the project as a story with multiple layers, much like that other popular Steven Soderbergh film that netted him some Oscar award love, Traffic, as every aspect of the illegal activities will be connected.
Maguire and Dicaprio may be interested in producing the project, but there’s no word yet as to whether the two, or Hardy himself, will star in it. THR says that Hardy came up with the idea, inspired by friends who are former special forces operatives and went on to become anti-poacher fighters in South Africa and other nations.”
If Dicaprio were to star in the film, it wouldn’t be unfamiliar ground for him to walk on either, as he’s already had a turn at perfecting a Soufern Effrican accent in Blood Diamond, as well as the fact that he happens to be an environmental activist.
As for Maguire, he’s already worked with Dicaprio in the upcoming The Great Gatsby, and is already one of his good friends, while Hardy is finally seeing some recognition in his career, thanks to high profile films such as Inception, The Dark Knight Rises and his leading role in the Australian apocalypse of Mad Max: Fury Road.

Jiu Jitsu are of course very well-known and popular these days. Since the the early beginnings of the UFC, mixed martial arts fighting or “MMA” as a lot of people call it has become an enormous market and huge past-time for many individuals all over the world. And not only has the UFC and MMA fighting changed our views on what makes a fighter a “great” fighter, but it’s also modified the way practitioners think about what makes a fighter one of the best!
