From award winning creator Vince Gilligan, who brought us Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul in February, comes a new cop show called Battle Creek. This time though Gilligan isn’t going it alone and has teamed up with House creator David Shore to bring us a show that looks a lot lighter than what we would expect.

Featuring Josh Duhamel (Transformers) and Dean Penn (John Wick) as detectives working the Michigan beat the show certainly looks more accessible to the casual market. Of course this time Gilligan is working through CBS, a cable network where you have to worry about advertisers, gah! Don’t let that put you off though as the first episode is directed by none other than Bryan Singer (X-Men: Days of Future Past) so that makes me VERY curious. Have a watch of the trailer and a clip and let us know what you think, too funny to be taken serious?

Battle Creek also stars Janet McTeer and Kal Penn and lands on 1 March.
