I’m a (relatively) honest guy, so I’m not going to try and bullsh*t you guys here. While this first international TV spot from Korea for Star Wars: The Force Awakens does contain some new, previously unseen footage, it’s only a few seconds here and there of them. But this is Star Wars: The Force Awakens we’re talking about here and it is my geeky duty to obsess over every scrap of promo material for this movie as long as I can.
This coming weekend is Disney’s D23 Expo though, and we expect to see some major new footage and details being unveiled there, but until then check out some new X-Wing action as well a new look at the armed forces of the sinister sounding First Order.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi, and features a new generation of swashbuckling heroes and shadowy villains, as well as the return of fan-favorite smugglers, princesses, and Jedi.
JJ Abrams directs The Force Awakens and co-wrote the script with Star Wars legend Lawrence Kasdan. The film stars John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Kenny Baker, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Max von Sydow, Lupita Nyong’o and Gwendoline Christie. It is scheduled for release on December 18, 2015.
