Cap Steel

So who’s afraid of the big bad bat and an unstoppable Kryptonian who has more solar power than a hippie commune? It appears to be the first Avenger himself, Captain America, as he’ll be tossing his shield into the 2016 blockbuster season at around the same time that the Man of Steel sequel arrives.

THR broke the news, as Captain America 3 will arrive in May 2016, once again directed by the Russo brothers who have whipped up some super-soldier buzz for the first sequel. The first sequel is yet to arrive on our shores, so a May 2016 release makes perfect sense, especially if the Russos go straight to work on the film.

This won’t be the only film arriving from Marvel in 2016, as Doctor Strange is rumoured to also be getting the greenlight to release that year. A second release later in the year, also puts less pressure on a new franchise, which is what Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man will be doing this year and in 2015.

According to rumours at Hey U Guys, Warner Bros is already making plans for the Batman vs Superman release date, and are aiming at bringing the movie out a week earlier in foreign markets, reportedly on April 28. That makes sense. As healthy as competition is, Warner Bros and Disney could both hurt themselves in the long-run, as both films will most likely boast budgets and marketing campaigns that will need to actually make some cash.

I will watch both. Going to the movies on half price Tuesday isn’t that expensive, so it’s like you have to see one OR the other, you can watch both.
Hoping Batman/Superman movie will be great though.

Superman movies to date have been terrible. I’ve yet to enjoy one, so I’ll not be watching this sequel. Captain America on the other hand, hell yes. Guardians of the Galaxy also looks interesting, hope it’ll be good.
