If you’re the type of person that likes men dressed in biblical garb shouting in the pouring rain, well then I might just know a guy who can make some arrangements. If you prefer to not trust my connections though, then you’ll have to do with one of these stunning new hi-res pics taken on the set of Darren Aronofsky’s biblical epic, Noah.

The film is currently shooting in frigid Iceland and while we are yet to see a single frame of footage from it, judging from these images, its going to be quite something to look at.

“Noah” is a close adaptation of the Biblical story of Noah’s Ark. In a world ravaged by human sin, Noah is given a divine mission: to build an Ark to save creation from the coming flood.

Aronofksy has once again turned to cinematographer Matthew Libatique – with whom he partnered on Pi, The Fountain, Requiem for a Dream and Black Swan – to lens this latest film, which has been Aronofsky’s lifelong dream project, and it looks like it may just be his best looking work yet.

Besides for eye-wateringly good visuals, Noah also boasts one hell of a cast in Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Saoirse Ronan, Douglas Booth, Logan Lerman, Emma Watson, Ray Winstone, Anthony Hopkins, Kevin Durand, and Mark Margolis, and will be setting sail (and hopefully not sinking) on March 28, 2014.
