And it looks incredible! And also very comfy!

Reynolds tweeted out this look of himself in the new suit for the upcoming Deadpool solo movie and it sure as hell is a far cry from the horrifically bad look the character sported in the maligned X-Men: Origins – Wolverine. In that movie (at least in the final act in which he was played by Scott Adkins) the character was a mute psycho with arm-swords and eye lasers and a head like a butternut. Here though, Reynold’s new version is virtually identical to his comic book appearance, right down to the mismatched white eyes, and the result is something that is apparently an ursine aphrodisiac.

And as you can see in a follow-up tweet from the actor, it appears that Reynolds and co took their inspiration for this pic from Burt Reynolds (no relation), because why wouldn’t you?!

After being stuck in development hell for years, Deadpool is now finally in production, with VFX guru Tim Miller directing and Zombieland writers Rhett Reese Paul Wernick scripting. Joining Reynolds will Morena Baccarin as shapeshifting lady-love Copycat, TJ Miller as tech guy Weasel, Gina Carano as mutant Angel Dust, and Ed Skrein in an undisclosed bad guy role. The X-Men’s Colossus will also be appearing in the movie, but Daniel Cudmore (who has played the metal skinned mutant on-screen before) has confirmed that he will not be playing the character.

Here’s the official synopsis:

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, “Deadpool” tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Deadpool is set for release on February 12, 2016.
