COMMUNITY and all your other favourite TV shows have been cancelled

It’s that time of year again. That time when the various TV networks decide to greenlight several TV shows, give ’em a 13 episode run and see if they’re worth a second season or not. That means that a few great shows, get to carry on for a few episodes more. But it also means that various cuts have to be made. Some shows get put on hiatus. Others get downright cancelled. And amongst the latest casualties in the ratings war, it looks like fan-favourite Community has taken a deadly blow. Asteroid-style.

Community (1)

Looks like Community is ending with five seasons and no movie, despite attempts to get to six and more. Dan Harmon’s cult comedy has been in trouble ever since the third season, with Harmon himself kicked off the helm for a lacklustre fourth season before being coaxed back for the fifth and final season. Despite a well-received return to form, the ratings just weren’t good enough for Community, leading to it getting the axe from parent network NBC.

It’s not the only show that’s down for the count however. Revolution, Parenthood (which will get a sixth and final season before being ditched), Crisis, Believe and Dracula are also down and out. Still, with an audience as vocal as the one belonging to Community, there may be some hope. I mean, somewhere out there, there must be a Netflix meeting happening right now about saving the show for that promised sixth season and a movie.

Meanwhile, the ABC network has taken a hiatus shotgun and gone nuts with their TV shows. Trophy Wife, Mixology, The Neighbors, Suburgatory and Super Fun Night have already been gunned down, skinned, stuffed and mounted in order to make way for new shows.

Ouch.

Elena Gilbert is hands down the most annoying character on TV today! Your name gave me an idea for a brilliant show: Base it on Terry Pratchett’s Discworld universe, make it a crime thriller/comedy and call it The Watch.

This week is going to be great TV. Season finales of Arrow, SHIELD, Blacklist & Person of Interest. Can’t wait, don’t have to much.

Plus, here’s a trailer for Constantine – which does not look bad at all.

I am on the opposite side of that fence. I’m still dancing on Revolution’s grave.
