There’s going to be quite a few new characters in the upcoming Avengers sequel. Chief amongst them, speedster Quicksilver and his reality warping sister The Scarlet Witch. As heroes, their personalities and powers help define them in that movie, but more importantly, so do their costumes.

And Olsen had something to say about the garb that she’d be donning for the sequel.

There’s a lot of love for the character, for various, skintight reasons such as this:

scarlet witch

But that ain’t Olsen. Speaking to Total Film, Olsen discussed her Scarlet Witch costume:

I don’t think Joss ever would have hired me, honestly, if he wanted me to wear those outfits; I am not a professional athlete and nor am I a model. Wearing those costumes wouldn’t be fun for anyone who wasn’t those things. He already had a different idea. It respects and involves the comic book character but it’s different, more rooted. It’s for someone today…Well, if someone walked around wearing what she wore in the comics, people would stop and say, ‘What the hell… she thinks she’s a superhero!’

Don’t expect to see that costume leaked anytime soon, as Olsen revealed that she wore a cloak between shoots to disguise her costume. There’s a ton of variety that can be done with the Scarlet Witch costume, and it shouldn’t be too hard to see that idea translated onto the big screen. Filming in Joburg wraps up today, with the cast and crew jetting off next to London to film some more scenes.

Avengers: Age of Ultron arrives on May 1, 2015.

  1. It would be interesting to see how they portray Ultron. I havent really read comics on him, but checking out his bio… damn… his basically indestructible.

      Adamantium shell, networked AI, energy blasts, genius level intellect…Yeah, he’s a tough bastard. I reckon the film version will boast plenty of Stark Tech however.

        Not to forget he can transfer his consciousness basically anywhere. So even if his body dies he can basically just transfer himself. Logically Stark Tech should be in there somewhere. Theres one movie im finding a bit odd though… Batman Vs Superman. Dont you think that the odds are quite against Batman? (Unless he uses kryptonite in all his weapons)

          I think the only way that this can work, is if Supes makes it a point that he’s not fighting at full strength. He was massively OPed in Man Of Steel. As a massive Batman fan, even I thought DAYUMN at the thought of these two fighting.

            You think Superman was overpowered? Forgive me in not knowing what OPed meant lol

            OP=Overpowered
            But yeah, I foresee a lot of kryptonite in the sequel. A loooooooooooooooooooot of Kryptonite.

            Did you think Superman was overpowered? I kinda thought they portrayed his strength quite well lol Not sure where they will be getting more kryptonite to harm Superman, but either way I agree. TONS of kryptonite. Even in Batman VS Superman. His weapons and perhaps parts of his suit will be laced with Kryptonite. Just wished they brought Doomsday into the picture lol

    Am I the only one who thinks that the Mask given to Algrim in Thor: The Dark World strangely resembles Ultron?

    I have faith in Marvel. They always know how to make good costumes even though they don’t use the ones from the comic books.
