When you think about it, the first Hot Tub Time Machine was about a bunch of vapid, selfish idiots abusing the time/space continuum to make their egotistical dreams a reality. Which made it one of the most realistic films ever made, because I sure as hell would have done the exact same thing. They may have dropped John Cusack from the sequel, but a trip to the future proves that this time machine still runs on plenty of laughs.
I’m digging what I’m seeing here. The jokes seem to be on point, the visual effects look great, the story has a great twist and that “you’re a f**king nerd” nerd song needs to be my new ringtone. Hot Tub Time Machine 2 will be saving the future on Christmas day. It stars Clark Duke, Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson, Chevy Chase and Adam Scott.
