Welcome to The Extras! A daily dose of all the smaller movie related news, clips and just plain cool stuff that you might have missed!

Bill Murray is awesome. And if you think otherwise, then I’m not sure that we can be friends. For example, while filming an ad recently, some of the guys working on the ad asked the funnyman for his autograph. Instead of just scribbling down something illegible on a ketchup stained napkin, Murray instead shot this video with the guys, doing that coolest of cool movie character activities: Walking in slow motion:

Remember that story about how Robert Pattinson might be joining the Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire? Turns out that he has no idea what people are talking about.

“I woke up this morning and saw all these things about me being cast in The Hunger Games. I was kind of curious for a second. So I called my agent. My agent was like, ‘No. No one’s going to offer you that part’. I was like, ‘Thanks for the reassurance.'”

The Help‘s Ahna O’Reily is looking at starring opposite Ashton Kutcher in jOBS as Steve Jobs’ girlfriend Chris-Ann Brennan.

If you like movies, and you like girls in bikini’s then boy, do I have a link for you! Movies.com is holding a poster crop quiz, where you need to guess a movie based on a partial image of its poster. And they’re looking at posters that feature some very scantily clad girls. You’re welcome.

FlavorWire gives us this supercut of famous actors making their film debut. Oh, Tom Cruise, not even your misguided youth can exempt you from that denim shorts.

According to Variety, the first trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained will be screening with Prometheus.

When the first teaser trailer for The Dark Knight Rises came out, a lot of eagle-eyed viewers promptly spewed Mountain Dew all over their keyboards, when it appeared that in one scene that Selina Kyla aka Catwoman was wearing a pearl necklace that looked eerily like the same necklace worn by Bruce Wayne’s mother when she was killed. Cue crazed internet fanboy speculations very short on facts but very heavy on exclamation marks.

Thanks to a synopsis for a children’s story book adaptation of the film (OK, lets just pause there for a second… Really?  A children’s story book? Holy Inappropriate Content, Batman!) released by HarperCollins, we now know that there’s a much more mundane explanation. And I guess this could be considered a SPOILER, although it’s prettty self-explanatory, based on Catwoman’s chosen profession:

There’s a ferocious feline in town, and she’s out to steal from Gotham’s wealthy citizens. Unfortunately, Catwoman makes a mistake when she visits venerable citizen Bruce Wayne and takes Bruce’s prized family heirloom. She thinks she made a clean escape . . . but she doesn’t know who she toyed with!

Keeping things Batty, Movies.com had a recent set visit for the film and as result garnered separate exclusive interviews with Christian Bale, Tom Hardy and Anne Hathaway.

And finally in our last bit of Batman news, somebody noticed that the last batch of character posters for The Dark Knight Rises contained a QR code, which when scanned produced an URL that led to this secret poster for the film:

I really dig this poster, especially the little touch of the lipstick.

Veteran character actor William Sadler is joining the cast of Iron Man 3. No word yet on what role he would play.

Silk Spectre (Malin Ackerman) will be joining Professor Snape (Alan Rickman) and Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) in real-life drama CBGB, taking on the role of Blondie lead singer, Debbie Harry. I don’t know about you guys, but that sounds like the start of an amazing piece of fan fiction to me.

Amazon are launching a newer made-to-order DVD-on-demand store called Never Before On DVD. Users will now be able to order films generally only available digitally printed onto disc for them.

Pajiba takes a look at the 10 Highest Grossing Movies Featuring the Debut of a Pop Star. Somehow I am very hesitant of their inclusion of Ice Cube as a pop star, especially as that was back in his Copulate the Cops phase.

In the world of Star Wars, Darth Vader is one Bad-Ass Motherf@$#er! (For the sake of this metaphor working, lets just forget his crybaby emo phase). And you know who else is also covered in black from head to toe and also takes no crap from nobody? Samuel L. Jackson! So what do you get when you combine these two badasses? You get Darth L. Jackson, the meanest brother on the block!

Just like that cat you didn’t see walk past you twice already, that was just a glitch in the Matrix.

Darth L Jackson may be one bad motherlover, but Lord Brick Vader is far more evil.
