Welcome to The Extras! A daily dose of all the smaller movie related news, clips and just plain cool stuff that you might have missed!

We start off with a bang, as artist Peter Stults has put together a simply jaw-droppingly cool set of posters for movies that take place in an alternate universe. Some simply amazing stuff in there, and I would buy them as posters in a heartbeat. Here are 2 of my favourites:

Have you ever wanted to write for Empire Magazine, the world’s biggest movie publication? Well your dreams may just come true through reality TV show, The Exclusives

Universal Studios has released this promo video for their Transformers – The Ride attraction

Pajiba has listed the 10 Most Scathing Reviews of 2011. They may call them scathing, I call them works of comic genius. An excerpt from one of my favourites:

Dexter executive producer Manny Coto spoke to TV guide and dropped some hints about a possible future on the big screen for the popular killer

“In a way, it’s almost like every season is a form of an end game. This season could’ve been an end to Dexter, setting it up for the movies, for example. So every season kind of comes to it’s own conclusion and can be a sort of end game…

…I’m actually just projecting from my own experience on 24, where at the end we weren’t going to kill Jack Bauer. We were going to leave him open because down the road there might be a movie. And sure enough, there’s a movie coming.”

Get out your nachos, because Mensfitness has a list of 11 of the Cheesiest Movie Workout Montages. Unsurprisingly, Jean Claude van Damme features in quite a few of them

Have you seen the pics of those amazingly witty red t-shirts that Ian McKellen and Harrison Ford have been reported to be wearing? Well it turns out that they’re fake!
