There’s a lot to love about Tim Burton and his gothic style of making films, but there’s also quite a few things to hate about his reboot-happy ass. Fortunately, the one film that he is rescucitating this year happens to be one of his own, the 1984 classic, Frankenweenie.

A stop-motion animation project, Frankenweenie tells the tale of young Victor, a boy who loses his beloved dog Sparky in a tragic accident and then brings him back to life through scientific means, tweaking him in the process.

Of course, Sparky eventually gets loose, causing all kinds of chaos in town for the local population. An angry mob inevitably forms, with Victor doing his best to hide his faithful pooch.

A new image has just been released for Frankenweenie, of the teaser poster, while the film will also play host to numerous actors that have popped up in Burton films before, such as Winona Ryder, Martin Short and Christopher Lee.

Amazingly though, Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter are not in the film. Frankenweenie releases in October this year.
