AWWWWWW

Oh weekend, I’m so glad you’re here my dear friend. We last saw each other what, five days ago? It feels like a lifetime has passed since then!

Worst Stories

Dammit, last week, we only had two negative stories written.  This week, a few more, the worst of which is undoubtedly the Final Fantasy XV delay. Stay strong Umar!

Is Darryn Batman Forever?

BATMAN

Yup, and by a mile I might add. Dammit Alessandro, you were so close!@

Owlman of the Week

Owlman PEW

Yeah, now I know the Owlman award is rigged. Gavin writes a whole one article, and wins it? I CALL FOUL. If only I had access to the super complex formula that calculates who the winner is each week. I’d replace X and Y with Porra and Cabbage!

Header of the Week

pokemango

Pokémon GO? Poke a mango? HA, I see what you did there Geoff!

Underappreciated Photoshop of the Week

Humble-Indie-17-Bundle-Nucelar-Throne (1)

Wow, it’s almost like Zoe isn’t interested in winning this award. Guess I’ll claim it yet again thanks to my amazing header for my Humble Bundle article!

Most Comments

No Man’s Sky in general generates a hell of a lot discussion, so it’s no surprise that Alessandro’s review of the space explorer got people chatting this week. That article garnered a very respectable 88 comments.

Comment of the Week

FOX wants Liam Neeson to be Cable in Deadpool 2? Makes sense. He could use his past movie experience to great effect, right HairyEwok?

I don’t know who you are but I will find you in the past and I will kill you.

Bonus Premium Content

Did you enjoy that first Don’t Hug me I’m Scared episode last week? Good, here’s the second one…

Darryn has not one, but two videos for your enjoyment this week. Remember, they’re more than likely NSFL!

Ok, pressed start like 5 times. All it does is take you to a new page, that only has the image on it.

This is the problem with games today, too easy, too simple and, ultimately, just boring.

Do you not like Hole? Did the two of you have some sort of disagreement?

Cannot see how, I always thought Hole was an out-standing person, with many, many variable qualities. Downright salt of the earth, even.

I lack the pop culture knowledge and do not understand this. I assume from some or other movie Liam Neeson played in? Just modified for time travel?

I started playing Warframe again about a week ago. Stopped around mid-2014. My then end-game 16 forma Saryn ult build can hardly damage a loot crate anymore. I know some of you guys play, does someone want to invite me and give me a run-down of what the shit happened in the last two years? Name: insanitysoz

To stay on topic, WOW! What a week! Much intense! Such stuff!

      I’m guessing on PC?

Yeah Saryn got a major rework a few months back, many of the older frames have, was never really my favourite so I haven’t played her much since then to figure her out.

      Otherwise changes have been:

Revised movement – bullet jumping, no more coptering
Syndicates – do missions for them to earn rep to buy ability augment mods & custom weapons
      Archwing – space-based missions
Kubrow (dog) & Kavat (cat) companions
New tile set on Uranus with underwater missions using archwing
Tons of new frames & weapons
Revised star map navigation – you unlock junctions to proceed to new planets & get access to quests
Bunch of new quests incl a very cool cinematic one (no spoilers) – and the sequel to that is due next month
New PVP modes, incl an e-sport type one called Lunaro
Big change is the new system of prime part farming – no more void farming, instead keys are now relics, and relics contain 6 possible items, on completion of an alert-style relic mission you get one of those six as a reward or you can choose the reward that dropped for your team mates
I’m probably forgetting a lot of stuff.

Oh, and we’re in the middle of update 19 which has been broken into 4 pieces, part 3 which might still drop tonight with a new frame & revise the fusion system

PC, yeah. RIP my poor Saryn. :/ I’ll probably get into the story-heavy quests/missions first.

I read up a bit about the new relics, does this mean no more endless void runs? And can one not initiate a void run without these alert-style missions? Is the Orokin void even still the same kind of place?

I’m not happy about these new “Primed” mods either.

You can still do the void, it’s a regular part of the star chart now, basically like a planet, and you don’t need anything special to access it. The only reason I have for going there now is if I need to farm argon crystals.

Endless void runs for prime parts have been done away with the relic system, which are much faster to complete, but you no longer get multiple rewards from a single mission.

            August 19, 2016 at 14:58

I miss them too, it’s definitely easier & faster to farm parts you want now, if you have the relics, but I enjoyed the frustration of endless void farming too.

            August 19, 2016 at 15:00

I seemed to always have enough plat left from Prime access to avoid any and all prime farming. It was just beautifully challenging gameplay. Need to farm Saryn P now I guess.

Play Quake, it’s simpler, better, faster. Like some other pastimes.
