At the beginning of the year, there’s only one awards show that really matters. We’re not talking about the usual Hollywood circle-jerks known as the Oscars. Oh hell no, we want to celebrate the very worst of 2013. And once again, the Razzies will be leading the way in that particular awards category.

In what should be a move that surprises nobody, Grown Ups 2 is leading the way in Razzie nominations, netting 8 in total. Here’s the full list of nominees for the worst of 2013:

WORST REMAKE, RIP-OFF or SEQUEL

Grown Ups 2
Hangover III
The Lone Ranger
Scary Movie 5
Smurfs 2

Honestly, for as much flak as what Grown Ups 2 has gotten, it’s nowhere near as bad as Movie 43. That’s going to make for some stiff competition, and another fun evening. Traditionally held a day before the Oscars. That means March 1 for the Razzies, which sometimes sees the actors nominated arrive to fetch their award much like Halle Berry did a couple of years ago for Catwoman. And you know what? That’s a good move. It’s one thing to be ina  bad movie, but to have pride in doing it, creates an endearing feeling from audiences who will actually then support such a film for being so terrible.

Which is why I’m personally hoping that the Grown-Ups 2 cast arrives to accept that award so that we can get Grown-Ups 3: The Re-GrownUppining.

The only one of those I’ve seen is After Earth which was absolutely awful… someone give that kid some laxatives.

Hahaha! The previews of that was enough to put me off watching it. Kristen Steward has more facial expressions than “constipation boy”! I have not seen ANY of the movies mentioned on those lists. Guess I made good choices in 2013 🙂

There’s a good reason not to watch Grown Ups 2, it’s called Grown Ups 1.
