GTA IV for the PC

Rockstar has finally announced what we all knew, GTA IV is on it’s way for the PC.

What we didn’t know before is that it will be released on the 18th of November in the States and then on the 21st of November in Europe (and hopefully here).

Apparently it is very nice on the PC and all that but to be honest I have no interest in playing GTA IV again on a different platform.

Though for the few gamers out there without a console this is great news.

Anyone out there going to be picking this up?

well… i have a console, but i much rather spend R300 on a pc game then R700 on a console game, and besides, I prefer these sort of games on pc,

You’re going to have more people in South Africa buying… err… make that “obtain” the PC version than the console versions.

Plus, PC GTA’s have always been popular for modding – that is if R* will open it up for that after the whole Hot Coffee fiasco.

New MP content also, and I’m sure R* will take into account some of the feedback that was given from the console versions.

GTA IV on both PS3 and Xbox 360 have always been virtually lag free for me – though I think the PC version may be better for local game play – which might offer more players in the same server.

I’m just getting into my GTA now, although I can’t imagine playing online on a PC just weird?

I have a couple friends that have the xbox version, but will also be getting the pc version if it has lan play.

Jip, i’ll be picking this up, seeing that i don’t own a console. Altho i tend to get bored with these types of games very quickly. Can’t wait to give it a spin tho.

Wonder what the specs would be like to run it?

And would it need a large install, or can they stream it from DVD like the 360?
