GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY might just have the best movie soundtrack ever

We don’t often discuss music here on The Movies, but when an upcoming film has a certain selection of rocking tunes, we don our ripped denim jeans and tuck our T-shirts in as we get ready to party. Guardians Of The Galaxy is such a film that has us regressing back to the better decades of music. And I got a feelin’ that I’m going to be hooked on it.

Now that’s a damn good mix-tape. This all ties into the character of Peter Quill AKA Star-Lord AKA Who?, who happens to carry around a walkman and cassette of his Earth memories. Guardians Of The Galaxy is almost upon us, as the film arrives August 1 like a Cherry Bomb. To celebrate the fact that the soundtrack is now available for purchase, here’s a quartet of new posters:

It stars Chris Pratt, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Lee Pace, Benicio Del Toro, Glenn Close, Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, Djimon Hounson, John C. Reilly, and the voices of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel.  James Gunn directs.
