He hasn’t made a movie in over three years, but cult favourite director Kevin Smith is back behind the camera, shooting what may be his strangest project yet. Tusk deals with a man who finds himself forced into becoming a walrus for an insane maniac, with the transformation progressively getting worse as the film goes on.
Smith started shooting his pic which is loosely based on actual events this week, and released the following snippet of behind the scenes action.
Starring Michael Parks, Haley Joel Osment, Genesis Rodriguez and Justin Long, Smith’s film looks like one hell of a creepy idea. The director tweeted the following photo of himself with Osment and Rodriguez in what is most likely not the final walrus costume that Smith has been mentioning in his podcasts recently.
Smith also tweeted that after seven days of shooting, he has 20 minutes of the movie already filmed and edited up. Which means that we could see Tusk sometime next year, at this rate.
