To say that I love the original UK version of The Office would be a major understatement! The show was a massive hit in the UK and its popularity quickly spread across the globe. It is also responsible for the meteoric rise in the careers of the then unknown Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant as well as fast tracking the career of Martin Freeman. If you ask me, the world is a better place because of this.
I wont even go into detail about the hugely successful US version of the show that ran for a fantastic nine seasons, although I will add that this too was an incredibly funny show. Filmed to have the look and feel of a documentary being filmed around the world of a paper sales office and giving us some of the televisions more unique characters has been a real pleasure to watch. So when new broke of a spin-off movie being made I immediately began searching the internet for more details on the film and after spending what must have been hours of watching old episodes and blooper reels it comes with great joy that we finally get our first official look at the return of David Brent.
