High Piracy Rates Means No Super Street Fighter IV On PC

Uh, oh! It looks like Capcom weren’t very pleased with all of those PC scoundrels out there who pirated their beloved Street Fighter IV.

In an interview that takes place in a language that I can barely look at without getting a headache, Capcom’s Yoshinori Ono stated that due to incredibly high rates of piracy, they will not be releasing Super Street Fighter IV onto the PC platform.

It’s an unfortunate bit of news for anyone who did pay and enjoy the first game on PC, as they will now be deprived of a great sequel.

Many of you might want to point out the abundance of pirated games on the Xbox 360 platform as well, which has become something that developers and publishers have just had to deal with. Before you do though, remember that Ono stated not that it was due to piracy, but because it was due to a heck of a lot of piracy.

He does however mention that he thinks the piracy rates helped the game get out into the public a little more.
