I believe we have a choice in this new trailer for THE FAULT IN OUR STARS

It would be nice if, for once in a while, trailers didn’t show us the entire damn movie. Either that, or movie plots are getting way too predicable for me. And yes, I know that this movie is based on a book so there technically shouldn’t be any spoilers if the source material’s been out for two years now, but gosh darnit there are some people out there that are too lazy to read and want the film version instead.

But, if you’re more lazy than that, and are happy to watch the whole movie condenced into two minutes and twenty seconds, then this trailer for The Fault In Our Stars is right up your alley. Cue the indie piano music! (Seriously, the trailer is massively spoilery, don’t say you weren’t warned).

Hazel and Gus are two extraordinary teenagers who share an acerbic wit, a disdain for the conventional, and a love that sweeps them – and us – on an unforgettable journey. Their relationship is all the more miraculous, given that they met and fell in love at a cancer support group.

So, anyone else getting shades of Sweet November from that, or any movie based on a Nicholas Sparks book? Either way, it’s sure to be a tear-jerker. And I’m 100% sure one of them dies at the end. Can’t have a bittersweet romantic teen drama without a sad-happy ending.

Starring Shailene Woodley, Ansel Elgort, Nat Wolff, Willem Dafoe and Sam Trammell, The Fault In Our Stars is scheduled for June 2014.

    I suspect I’d find it more gag-inducing than tear-jerking.
