According to all those lawsuits against me, I know a thing or two about hiding in closets and then scaring the almighty bejeezus out of unsuspecting children. But clearly I’m just a rank amateur when it comes to children scaring when compared to Mike and Sully from Disney-Pixar’s Monsters Inc. But those guys weren’t always the top dog monsters around, they had to master their trade first. And they did that over in Monsters University, which just so happens to be the name of their new sequel as well.
We’ve seen plenty of posters and little snippets of MU thus far, but now we have a new (and final) trailer that ties them all together in a bundle of higher learning, scary shenanigans.
Ever since college-bound Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal) was a little monster, he has dreamed of becoming a Scarer—and he knows better than anyone that the best Scarers come from Monsters University (MU). But during his first semester at MU, Mike’s plans are derailed when he crosses paths with hotshot James P. Sullivan, “Sulley” (voice of John Goodman), a natural-born Scarer. The pair’s out-of-control competitive spirit gets them both kicked out of the University’s elite Scare Program. To make matters worse, they realize they will have to work together, along with an odd bunch of misfit monsters, if they ever hope to make things right.
Monsters University will be scaring it up on June 21, 2013.
