As some of you know, I’ve been on leave for the past week and a bit, spending my time sunning it up on the beach and filling my pie hole with…well…pies. As a result, I’m currently rather pink –  and thanks to my sedentary ways and the sheer amount of decidedly delicious digestibles that entered my face rather portly as well – so if you see a squinty-eyed pig-human sweating about in jogging shorts, that’s probably me, doing all I can to lose the holiday pounds. As good as a holiday is though, I really started missing work – mainly because I’ve grown accustomed to the daily deluge of reader comments that flood the site – and it seems I’ve missed many in my time away.

Here’s the news we didn’t post, because we’ve been staring at celery all day long wondering how the hell people consider this rubbish food.

Editor. I'm old, grumpy and more than just a little cynical. One day, I found myself in possession of a NES, and a copy of Super Mario Bros 3. It was that game that made me realise that games were more than just toys to idly while away time - they were capable of being masterpieces. I'm here now, looking for more of those masterpieces.
