So who else caught Microsoft’s Windows 10 Conference last night? I must say, they impressed me quite a bit. I mean we get Windows 10 for free, Xbox One gets some handy streaming and my dream of playing with lego holograms is finally a reality. And before you ask, yes it was a dream – every single time I stepped on one of those blocks as a kid I wished for a better world.

Just so that everyone is up to date: Telkom now has a new tune when you are on hold!! In the first 5 minutes you think, ok this is better than that old one… 10 minutes later and you want to start scratching at things that aren’t itchy… another 10 minutes and you will just rage quit like I am doing now!! Second time this year that I tried to call and waited longer than 20 minutes… Last year their service was excellent and we are back to useless!! Should have known!!

This is called a “complete ADSL installation” according to one of their “trained technicians”. They already tried to illicit a response from me about their service via SMS and survey call after I forwarded this to the project manager on site. His response was… “We can’t pick up that you ordered an ADSL line so could you forward me your reference number.”
So, if I never ordered anything, why did the damn technician rock up in the first place and this is a professional installation according to them… just WOW
