I always think public holidays should be associated with food. I know that’s silly and American of me, but Independence Day is more memorable because of hotdogs and Thanksgiving is fun with turkey and memories of far too much pie. South Africa gets it right on Heritage Day, at least, by making it Braai Day. I think I’m attending two braais tomorrow, which sounds like a great way to spend a public holiday.

Very, very nice, but a lot, I dunno, heavier than you expect. Interesting. You certainly eat a bit less of it, than store bought wors.

I worry. Had two people now ask me if Friday is a normal work day. It seems people want a half day or something.

Scrambles eggs, bacon, shrooms – Shitaki!!!!!! (which wife is fatally allergic to), something with cheese on. ????
OR, make Scrambled eggs, bits of bacon, some other stuff ALL at the same time, sort of a mosh pit of flavour.
Hmm one for the wife and one for the kid and one for me. Those two really need to sync on allergies.
