It seems like horror movies are finally drifting out of their torture porn and found footage state, and headed to more anthalogical waters. V/H/S did just that, securing enough of an audience to get the ball rolling on a sequel, while the upcoming ABCs of Death consists of an alphabetical smorgasboard of horror tales.
The latest such film to use that sub-genre though, is Sanatarium, a film in which three directors tell three very different and disturbing tales.Bryan Ramirez, Kerry Valderrama and Bryan Oritz are the directors on this picture, as they take a look at three inmates in an insane asylum. Malcom McDowell leads a cast that consists of Robert “Freddy” Englund, lacey Chabert, Lou Diamond Phillips, Walter Perez and a very creepy looking John Glover. It’s out next month in the states.
