It's good cop sex cop in this trailer for RIDE ALONG 2

The first Ride Along film wasn’t exactly groundbreaking comedy. It was filled with cliches, tired old tropes and a predictable plot which was easily resolved. And yet, that film worked, thanks to the chemistry between stars Ice Cube and Kevin Hart.

And while Ice Cube may have come straight outta Compton and straight into Hollywood with his well-practised cranky cop routine, it’s Kevin hart who earned the majority of laughs in the first Ride Along with his manic energy and easy jokes that poked fun at his height (I FEEL YA HART! OOMPAH-LOOMPAHS UNITE!). Here’s the trailer for the second flick:

Kevin Hart and Ice Cube lead the returning lineup of Ride Along 2, the sequel to the blockbuster action-comedy that gave us the year’s most popular comedy duo. Joining Hart and Cube for the next chapter of the series are director Tim Story, as well as Cube’s fellow producers—Will Packer, Matt Alvarez and Larry Brezner—who will produce alongside Cube.

More of the same, but with a tropical twist. And I’m not complaining at all actually in the latest chapter of this semi-lethal weapon. Ride Along 2 also stars Ken Jeong, Olivia Munn, Benjamin Bratt, and Sherri Shepherd. It’ll be signalling left on January 25 next year.
