Based on this first trailer for Miss Meadows, it would appear that while Katie Holmes was hobnobbing it with Bruce Wayne over in Batman Begins, she picked up some of his vigilante tendencies. What she definitely didn’t pick up though, is his predilection for wearing dark clothes and skulking in the shadows, as you can clearly see by her summery dresses, tap dancing and the Disney-like animals that follow her around. Yes, Disney animals.

Oh and unlike the Dark Knight, she has zero problems in using a gun. In fact she seemingly uses one several times, much to the detriment of would-be crooks, in this offbeat thriller that sees Holmes turn up the creepiness factor as a pistol-packing schoolmarm who deems herself judge, jury and executioner.

Writer-director Karen Leigh Hopkins (Stepmom, Because I Said So) is the one behind this off-kilter killer, which if this trailer is to be believed, is going to be a huge deviation from her previous work.

Miss Meadows is a school teacher with impeccable manners and grace. However, underneath the candy-sweet exterior hides a ruthless gun-toting vigilante who takes it upon herself to right the wrongs in the world by whatever means necessary. For Miss Meadows, bad behavior is simply unforgivable.

Miss Meadows also stars James Badge Dale and Callan Mulvey. It will be out on limited international release on November 14, 2014. Toodle-loo!
